The certificate has to be added to a driver's licence category C or C+E and is valid for five years. It is also possible to add it to C1 or C1E licences, which allows the driver to drive lighter trailer combinations.
You must take a psychological test and an examination for medical reasons to earn the Code 95 Certificate. Training options
Code 95 is a proof on your driving license that you have completed the requirements of training to operate vehicles and trucks professionally. Code 95 training is divided into two types: the short and long courses. The long course runs for about four weeks in length and ends with a federal exam. As a trainer you must follow certain guidelines to be able to give a class that meets Code 95. You must first submit a plan of instruction to the CBR. This training plan must be approved prior the start of classes. You will also need to adhere to a variety of other strict procedures during the course.
If you successfully completed the training, you will be awarded a certificate of regular training from the CBR. Then, you can send it to the RDW. After a successful submission you'll be able renew your license with the municipality. If you don't renew your license by the expiry date you won't be able to legally drive for more than 12 hours a week. Exams
You must pass both the theory and practical tests to earn the code 95 on your license. These exams can be taken on their own, or in conjunction with the acquisition of a basic category license at a driving academy. On successful completion of the exam, you will receive a certificate aswell as a code 95 certificate. The card is valid for 5 years and must be renewed before the expiration date.
Depending on the training programme depending on the training program, you can choose to take short or long courses for the code 95 exam. The new licence style for trucks and busses was introduced in the year 2011. It is a laminated card similar to the European driving licence, with the bearer's picture, name (in Latin and Cyrillic scripts), place/date of issue, allowed categories, and signature. The old-fashioned booklet-style licences and credit-cards are no longer valid.
